News

Two kinds of thing. Notices are about the contracts: what changed, what it meant for anybody holding a coin at the time, signed by the key that deployed them and never edited. Updates are about the site — what shipped, what moved. Nobody’s money depends on an update, and they are not signed.

Notices

A correction is published as its own notice saying what it amends. Nothing here is ever rewritten.

Updates

Changes to the site. Not signed, not permanent, and nothing here moves anybody’s money.

Oct 25, 2026A retired coin no longer takes new money

The coin page offered Buy on coins launched by the retired contract. It should not have: those coins still carry the fault the new contract fixes, and the notice published that day says plainly that buying has moved to the new contract.

Selling, claiming a mass-start share and withdrawing creator fees are untouched and always will be. The retired contract has no off switch, nobody can add one, and money can always come out of it.

Found by someone tapping the button rather than by any check — which is why the panel now refuses in the handler as well as disabling the control.

Oct 25, 2026The masstart wallet's limits are switches now

The six things the in-browser wallet cannot do were a bulleted list. They are rows with a switch at the end — red on the masstart wallet, green on Pali — in the same shape the notification settings use, because they answer the same question: is this on for me?

Nothing about the wallet changed. The limits are the same ones, for the same reasons; they are just readable at a glance instead of six sentences that each have to be read.

Oct 25, 2026Three lights that could never go green

The operator console compared the version it was serving against a differently-formatted version on disk, so it permanently told the operator to restart a server that was perfectly current. A light that is always amber is worse than no light: it is the one people learn to skip, and then the morning it is finally right it gets skipped too.

A second probe reported a question it had actually answered as one it could not ask. A third asked for a push to be sent to an audience that does not exist.

None of the three was wrong about the site. All three were wrong about themselves.
